Music / READING NOTE 02
Find your listening seat
Make an album part of the evening, rather than background noise.

Start with one record
Choose an album you have never heard all the way through. Read the track list, put the cover where you can see it, and leave recommendations for another day. A defined beginning and end makes the session feel different from scrolling through songs.
Work with the room
Sit somewhere comfortable and keep the volume considerate. Move a small speaker away from a rattling shelf before thinking about new equipment. Notice whether you can follow the vocal and the bass at the same time without turning everything up.
Keep a short listening note
Write down one moment that caught you: a change of rhythm, an instrument entering, or a line delivered differently. A single concrete observation is more useful than a score. Next time, choose something connected by a musician rather than an algorithm.
